Currently the average motherboard supports booting from USB, that's why many people install windows 8 via the USB Flasdisk. The following are things that need to be prepared:
- Computer / laptop with Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8.
- Windows 8 ISO or DVD of Windows 8.
- Flasdisk empty with a capacity of at least 4GB.
Here is how to install windows 8 via USB flash media:
1. Plug the USB stick into the computer and then format. Before formatting if artifacts important files please backup.
2. Click Start -> All Programs -> Accessories and then right-click on Command Prompt and select Run as administrator. If the User Account Control window appears you click Yes.

To run the Command Prompt with Administrator privileges can also be a way: Start Menu - Search and then type CMD then press Ctrl + Shift + Enter.
3. At the command prompt, type the following command and press Enter:
DISKPART

1. Plug the USB stick into the computer and then format, earlier if artifacts important files please backup or secure.
2. Download program Rufus (rufus_v1.2.0.exe), then run with administrator permissions (for windows vista and windows 7).
3. Choose USB flash, select the file system to be used (FAT 32/NTFS), check the Quick format mode, "Create a bootable disk using: MS-DOS" and also "Create the extended label and icon files".

4. Right-click on the image icon on the right side drive option "Create a bootable disk using", then locate the Windows 8 ISO file.
5. Click "Start", then it will start the process of transfer windows 8 iso file to a USB flash. Once the file transfer process is complete, then the usb flasdisk can be used to install Windows 8 using the same CD/ DVD media.

- Next to begin the installation process you click Install Now ".

- Enter a product code to activate the installation of windows 8. Afterwards click Next.

- Check the box "I accept the license terms" and click Next.

- Determine the upgrade installation option or a custom installation. I suggest to choose "Custom: Install Windows only (advanced)".

- Select the partition that you want to install Windows 8. After that click Next. If you install Windows 8 in a virtual machine/ computer that only one such partition on the new computer you can create a partition that is used to install windows so the place between the windows files and other files such as documents, pictures, videos are not mixed with the windows file. To create a partition you can through the Drive Option.

- To create a new partition click Drive Options after you click New.

How to partition hard drive windows 7 without Software
